The juxtaposition of Stonehage Fleming's (SF) beautiful and serious offices just off the Haymarket and the informality of ODs doing what they do best - partying - makes for interesting chemistry. But it works very well. And last night just over 50 ODs gathered together to drink to the end of a good OD year and successful and happy 2017.
Hamish Sinclair (S, 1992) a partner at SF very kindly - and bravely - hosted the annual gathering and, as bosses do, delegated the welcoming speech to the witty and charming
Adrian Bottega (W, 2000) who together with
Thomas Whittington (W, 2000) constitute a very powerful Bishops force making their presence felt at SF.
Wines for the evening were very kindly donated by
Bruce Jack, ODU Chairman, and were rapidly consumed and much appreciated. SF provided the catering and an almost invisible and incredibly efficient Neil ensured that no glass was empty.
